The popularity of the Gucci belt has increased by 18% daily according to a sentiment analysis run by Lapuerta over hundreds of tweets. And it has just been made all the more trendy by Bella Hadid serving absolute looks while wearing the notorious belt.
3. Cowboy Boots: Not Just a Fad
It’s time to dust off your cowboy boots from the Eras tour because their reign isn’t over. According to insights from ASOS’ global site data, cowboy boots are “still going strong,” according to Lapuerta, with searches for these boots increasing by 14% week after week. Additionally, a sentiment analysis conducted by Lapuerta across hundreds of tweets shows a 3% rise in the popularity of cowboy boots.
4. Converse Are Back, Baby
Fingers crossed I didn't give away my Converse high tops from high school! According to a sentiment analysis of 598 tweets conducted by Lapuerta, Converse have skyrocketed in popularity, with a staggering 55% increase each day since the beginning of June.
5. Drop Waist Dresses
The drop waist dress traces its origins to the glamorous flapper era of the 1920s. Jumping ahead to 2023, analysis of ASOS Site Data by Lapuerta reveals a significant 33% monthly increase in searches. This surge in popularity is further underscored by celebrities like Bridgerton star Phoebe Dynevor seen sporting this beautiful dress.
6. Thongs
Jandals, Flip flops, thongs. Whatever you want to call them, say bye to your birks because thongs are back. Lapuerta pulled thousands of online articles and posts referencing thongs and ran a sentiment analysis to compare average popularity from April 2024 to May 2024, which saw a 25% increase in popularity.
7. Leopard Print: Still in
Contrary to popular opinion, leopard print is far from being a fading trend. In fact, it's experiencing a resurgence in popularity. Since April, searches for leopard print items and fashion on ASOS have surged by an impressive 8.4%. The classic pattern is here to stay, with influencers such as Alix Earle, Sophia Begg (Sopha Dopha) and Jacquie Alexander embracing it in everything from statement outerwear to subtle accessories.
8. Hair Bows
Hair ribbons have seen a 20% increase in popularity this season. Ribbons are a simple yet stylish way to add a touch of elegance and coquette vibes to everyday hairstyles, taken up by Jasmine Ttavares in a variety of recent Insta fits.
